KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: December 10, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Establish the Internal Roadways Serving Lanigan Springs <br />Subdivision as Public Rights of Way <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works purchased the Lanigan Springs internal <br />roadway network pursuant to Board direction in February <br />2018. Public Works now desires establishing public rights <br />of way over all roadways in Public Works ownership. <br />Once the Board of County Commissioners establishes the <br />various rights of way associated with the various roadways, <br />Public Works can then sign the roads as "Primitive" and <br />begin limited maintenance activities over the roadway <br />network. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Direct that the internal roadway network within Lanigan <br />Springs subdivision now in Public Works ownership be <br />established as Public rights of way. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Exhibit 1: Legal Description from County Surveyor <br />Turnbull <br />Exhibit 2: Map of Lanigan Springs Roadway Network <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
