KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST STH ROOM 109 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM NOVEMBER 13, 2017 <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell, Vice Chariman Laura <br />Osiadacz <br />Others: Dan Carlson, Stephanie Mifflin (CDS), Mark Cook, Candie <br />Leader (PW) <br />Before the meeting began, Dan Carlson added Department Staffing <br />Update under Other Business. <br />Meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. <br />Solar Facilities Update <br />Dan stated there have been four advisory committee meetings to <br />date with one open house. Dan stated there has been some <br />preliminary mapping completed and have begun a very rough draft <br />of regulations. Dan stated the committee is working through some <br />issues regarding property rights and preserving rural character. <br />Dan stated the next meeting with the committee will be held <br />November 30th. <br />Annual Docket Update <br />Dan stated there are eight items on the Docket and gave a brief <br />overview of those items. Dan stated a TEPA determination on <br />those items has been made and that the Planning Commission <br />public meeting is tomorrow night with the Board meeting to <br />follow. <br />Other Business <br />Dan stated the Planning Official position has been filled with a <br />start date of November 20th. Dan stated both plans examiners have <br />resigned from the department but one of those spots has been <br />filled and she will start December 4th and that other applicants <br />are being reviewed to fill the second spot. Commissioner Jewell <br />reminded staff that the County does have a contract with a <br />private plan review company if plan reti,iew does fall behind in <br />the interim. <br />2017-11-13 MINUTES 1 <br />
