KITTITAS COUNTY CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 - ELLENSBURG Regular Meeting MONDAY 1:30 PM October 9, 2017 Board members present: Vice -Chairman Laura Osiadacz, and Obie O'Brien Others: Dan Carlson, Stephanie Mifflin (CDS), Mark Cook, Candie Leader, Lucas Huck (PW) Meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. Update on SMARTGOV Implementation Dan gave a brief update on SMARTGOV. Dan stated it was challenging to implement the program during the "busy season". Dan stated there were a few glitches, but the technical support has been very responsive to help staff. Dan stated there are a couple of outstanding items with implementation, but that those are being worked through. Update on Solar Facilities Committee Work Dan stated the citizen advisory committee has been formed. Dan stated there have been two meetings so far and gave a brief overview of the topics covered at those meetings. Dan stated the third meeting will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. Dan stated there is a community open house scheduled to for the public to attend and provide input. Dan stated the County also has a link on the CDS webpage with up-to-date information regarding this solar committee's work. Commissioner Osiadacz suggested CDS hold a meeting in Upper County as well. Status of Comprehensive Plan Update Dan stated there has not been much activity on the plan. Dan stated the County hired a new consultant in June and held a meeting with the advisory committee to introduce the consultant. Dan gave a brief timeline to the Board regarding the next steps. Dan stated the work that was done by a previous consultant can still be used and the current consultant will be updating that work.
