KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM May 22, 2017 <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell, Vice -Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz, and Obie O'Brien <br />Others: Dan Carlson, Stephanie Mifflin (CDS), Mark Cook, Candie <br />Leader, Lucas Huck (PW) <br />Meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. <br />Review of Fire Marshal Integration into CDS Implementation Plan <br />Dan presented the integration plan to the Board. Dan stated the <br />previous week the Board signed a resolution to merge the Fire <br />Marshal into CDS. Dan stated CDS is working on certifying <br />building inspectors to perform Fire Marshal inspections. Dan <br />stated the plans examiners will also receive certification for <br />Fire Marshal plan review. Commissioner Jewell asked for <br />clarification regarding the training of inspectors and plans <br />examiners. There was discussion regarding fire, life & safety <br />inspections and the amount of those in the County. <br />Discussion Regarding Solar Moratorium <br />Dan stated the current moratorium is in effect until July 10th <br />and would like to schedule another meeting to come before the <br />Board with a work program. There was discussion regarding dates <br />that would work best to schedule the meeting. Commissioner <br />Jewell proposed Monday, July 10th.
