KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE, MAINTENANCE, AND FAIR OFFICE STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />TUESDAY 2:00 PM September 11, 2018 <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz, Vice Chairman Obie O'Brien, and <br />Commissioner Cory Wright. <br />Others: Patti Johnson, Tim Egan, and Lisa Young, <br />Regular Meeting Solid Waste Update <br />Solid Waste <br />Patti gave a brief update on the acquisition of property for the new Transfer Station. Closing <br />scheduled for October 1, 2018. <br />Patti informed the BOCC that she was working on a Loan application with the Public Works <br />Trust fund for a $1,000,000 for the design phase of the transfer station project. <br />Regular Meeting Request approval on the Solid Waste <br />Fulcrum Environmental <br />proposal for Hazardous <br />Building Material <br />Inspection of the Old <br />Bowling Alley. <br />Patti presented the BOCC with a Fulcrum Environmental proposal the study at the Old Bowling <br />Alley Commissioner O'Brien moved to approve a Not to Exceed amount of $7,000.00. <br />Commissioner Wright seconded the motion and it was approved 3-0. <br />Regular Meeting Maintenance Update <br />Maintenance <br />Tim informed the Board that they survived. Did have a light pole damaged by Davis Amusement <br />while pulling out but he has been in contact with them on the repairs needed. Did have 2 minor <br />injuries during fair due to a broken picnic table. Table was removed. <br />Maintenance is ahead of schedule on the clean up after fair. <br />Tim informed the Board that he would be filling the two seasonal maintenance positions at the <br />Event Center. <br />2018-09-11 MINUTES <br />
