KITTITAS COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 - ELLENSBURG Regular Meeting MONDAY 1:30 PM October 8. 2018 Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice -Chairman Obie O'Brien; Commissioner Cory Wright Others: Mark Cook, Candie Leader, Public Works; Dan Carlson, Lindsey Ozbolt, Calvana Carper, Community Development Services; Kayla Bonar, Daily Record; Shannon Lowry, Grant County Public Utility District At 1:34 pm Chairman Osiadacz opened the Public Works Study Session. No additional agenda items were added. REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION CORRECTING RESOLUTION 2018-151 ADOPTING MEADOW WAY ONTO THE COUNTY ROAD SYSTEM Mark Cook presented a Resolution to correct Resolution 2018-151 that adopted Meadow Way onto the County Road System. Mark Cook stated that Resolution 2018-151 incorrectly identified Meadow Way as Marian Way within the body of the Resolution. Discussion was held. Vice -Chairman O'Brien made a motion to approve Resolution 2018-161 Correcting Resolution 2018-151 Adopting Meadow Way onto the County Road System. Commissioner Wright seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. REQUEST TO AUTHORIZE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON THE UNITED STATES FOREST SERVICE GRANT APPLICATION LETTER OF SUPPORT Mark Cook stated that the Forest Service is applying for grant funds through the Recreation and Conservation Office to support winter and summer recreational activities in Kittitas County. Mark Cook added that staff drafted a letter of support for Board approval to be included in the grant package. Discussion was held. Vice -Chairman O'Brien made a motion to Authorize Chair's Signature on the United States Forest Service Grant Application Letter of Support. Commissioner Wright seconded the motion. Chairman Osiadacz stated that the County has a good partnership with the Forest Service and thanked staff for their efforts. Motion passed 3-0. 2018-10-08 MINUTES
