KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM October 8. 2018 <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice -Chairman Obie <br />O'Brien; Commissioner Cory Wright <br />Others: Mark Cook, Candie Leader, Public Works; Dan Carlson, <br />Lindsey Ozbolt, Calvana Carper, Community Development Services; <br />Kayla Bonar, Daily Record; Shannon Lowry, Grant County Public <br />Utility District <br />At 1:34 pm Chairman Osiadacz opened the Public Works Study Session. <br />No additional agenda items were added. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION CORRECTING RESOLUTION 2018-151 <br />ADOPTING MEADOW WAY ONTO THE COUNTY ROAD SYSTEM <br />Mark Cook presented a Resolution to correct Resolution 2018-151 <br />that adopted Meadow Way onto the County Road System. Mark Cook <br />stated that Resolution 2018-151 incorrectly identified Meadow Way <br />as Marian Way within the body of the Resolution. Discussion was <br />held. Vice -Chairman O'Brien made a motion to approve Resolution <br />2018-161 Correcting Resolution 2018-151 Adopting Meadow Way onto <br />the County Road System. Commissioner Wright seconded the motion. <br />Motion passed 3-0. <br />REQUEST TO AUTHORIZE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON THE UNITED STATES FOREST <br />SERVICE GRANT APPLICATION LETTER OF SUPPORT <br />Mark Cook stated that the Forest Service is applying for grant <br />funds through the Recreation and Conservation Office to support <br />winter and summer recreational activities in Kittitas County. Mark <br />Cook added that staff drafted a letter of support for Board <br />approval to be included in the grant package. Discussion was held. <br />Vice -Chairman O'Brien made a motion to Authorize Chair's Signature <br />on the United States Forest Service Grant Application Letter of <br />Support. Commissioner Wright seconded the motion. Chairman <br />Osiadacz stated that the County has a good partnership with the <br />Forest Service and thanked staff for their efforts.
