9/10/2018 MINUTES 2 The Board determined for the week September 10, 2018 they would post on Facebook a Forest Health Workshop that is Free to the Community on September 22, 2018, as well as a post about the Blewett Pass Closure. UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to meet with on a weekly basis. This was determined at a Special Meeting with the Board of County Commissioners held on June 18, 2009. Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective departments and exchanged details of those meetings. On January 3, 2011 the Board determined it would be beneficial to alternate Commissioners that will oversee the different Department Head’s on an annual basis. They determined at the end of 2013 they would review the various committees they participate in and provide beneficial updates to the Board as needed during this time as well. OTHER BUSINESS Staff presented the Board with a request from the County Prosecutor’s Office asking to register and use the BoCC Explorer for a Fair Convention in Montana from November 7-11th. The Board received feedback from County Staff as the current conflicts as well as potentially what other typical issues could be coming forward. The Board directed Staff to notify the Prosecutor that it wouldn’t work for this request because of the reasons Staff gave and suggested that the Prosecutor use other pool vehicles, or use personal vehicles and submit reimbursement for mileage. Judy Pless, Budget and Finance Director suggested that they look at rental vehicles as another option.
