2018-08-23 MINUTES 1 COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM EMERGENCY SPECIAL MEETING THURSDAY 2:00 P.M AUGUST 23, 2018 Board members present: Laura Osiadacz, Chairman; Vice-Chairman, Obie O’Brien; Commissioner Cory Wright. Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; and Ann Riley, Director of the Kittitas County Community Network & Coalition. SPECIAL MEETING COMMUNITY NETWORK COMMISSIONERS At 2:00 p.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to consider extending a Lease with the Kittitas County Community Network for an additional 9-10 months in their current location, as well as setting a Public Hearing. Ann Riley, Director of the Kittitas County Community Network & Coalition requested to extend their Lease at their current location for approximately 9-10 months in order to finish out their program. She provided information relating to the value to County residents including their STOP Grant work with training, reduction in underage drinking and the Adverse Childhood Experience Grant. Commissioner O’Brien moved to grant a Lease Extension with the Kittitas County Community Network & Coalition, noting if they were to end it early there would be no penalties and direct the Prosecutors office to prepare the appropriate documents for the Boards consideration at a later date. Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0. SET PUBLIC HEARING SOLAR REGULATIONS CDS Commissioner O’Brien moved to approve Setting a Public Hearing to consider proposed Solar Regulations to be held on September 10, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium, Room 109, Kittitas County Courthouse 205 West 5th Avenue Ellensburg, and to authorize the Clerk to publish said notice. Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
