Cook <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Alter current business practices. <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />• Current Bowers Field (ELN) business practice is to assign existing leases when <br />properties change hands. <br />• Recent direction from the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is to add <br />termination and anti -discrimination language during all lease amendments. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Current ELN business practice is to assign existing leases when properties change hands. <br />Recent direction ,from the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is to add termination <br />and anti -discrimination language during all lease amendments. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />The revenue stream at ELN is insufficient in meeting self -sustainability goals. The <br />current business practices maintain land lease rates well below our current $0.12/square <br />foot rate. <br />FISCAL.
