and long term alternatives minimizing the impact of I-90 traffic on Sunday afternoons. <br />Several present expressed interest in such an undertaking. <br />The BOCC could form a group, tasking them with developing an action plan for <br />implementation. Given that we are nearly half way into the summer season, the <br />expectation should be for solution identification early winter 2018 for summer 2019 <br />deployment. PW will continue discussions with WSDOT regarding advanced signage <br />deployment on I-90, presuming a plan will be ready for implementation in early 2019. <br />The options presented on 06-18-2018 are as follows: <br />• Deploy message boards at Indian John and 1 't Street in Cie Blum noticing of local <br />traffic only (EXHIBIT 2) <br />• Deploy a marked law enforcement vehicle at each sign, <br />• Gate the Thorp Prairie Road and Nelson Siding during summer Sundays noon to 8 <br />PM. <br />• Create a Transportation Benefit District imposing tolls on Upper County Roads; <br />Sundays noon to 8 PM. <br />The citizen group is expected to vet each of these options and may devise alternatives for <br />BOCC consideration.
