1) Solid Waste Update: <br />Garbage up 6.5 % over last year <br />Hired new part time scale attendant <br />2) Recycling Update: Recycling in Grasslands and other unincorporated areas of Kittitas County <br />a) James Jankowski is interested in having recycling in Grasslands. <br />In order to have recycling in the unincorporated areas of Kittitas County we would <br />need to develop a level of service ordinance. Then Waste Management would <br />need to develop a cost for the service and take it to the WUTC. <br />3) Siting update: <br />Waiting to hear back on appraisal and environmental review. <br />Have had a preliminary discussion with Public works on if they would be interested in <br />moving and co -locating with Solid Waste. <br />4) HHW Position <br />Didn't receive applications for HHW Supervisor Expanded search and extended posting until July <br />5) Bloom Pavilion Grant Update <br />a. ALSC is working to get the project ready to go out to bid with the reduced scope <br />to meet the grant requirements. Planning to go out to bid so work can start <br />shortly after fair. <br />6) Courthouse project update <br />a. After our last meeting with the architect, she has given us several options to <br />discuss. <br />b. Discussed with a real estate agent the possible market value of the Lot north of <br />the Jail, and the Permit Center. <br />
