BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - <br />TO RATIFY THE CYLkH MAN'S SIGNATURE ON THE LOCAL AGENCY FEDERAL <br />AID PROJECT PROSPECTUS FOR THE UNIVERISTY WAY BRIDGE #88341 REPAIR <br />PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: The University Way Bridge over BNSF railroad tracks has spalling, delaminated <br />concrete and exposed corroded reinforcing steel in the girders and crossbeams, as <br />well as settlement at the bridge approaches; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has been awarded federal funding through the Surface <br />Transportation Block Grant program in the amount of $129,750 for a contract to <br />repair these deficiencies; and <br />WHEREAS: In preparation to advertise the project for construction in June of 2018, Public <br />Works is requesting the Washington State Department of Transportation to <br />release funds for construction; and <br />WHEREAS: A Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus must be executed by the Chair <br />acknowledging the project has been reviewed and is consistent with the agency's <br />comprehensive plan for community development; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works staff secured the Chairman's signature on the Reimbursable <br />Agreement on May 23`d, 2018 allowing the project to stay on schedule; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby ratify the Chairman's signature on the Local <br />Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus for the University Way Bridge #88341 <br />Repair Project. <br />DATED on this 29th day of May, 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />A est: <br />Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />\,``,�lltil4lllf111f1!! <br />C o urlr�''%,, <br />the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />LF� <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />ABSENT <br />Paul Jewell, Commissioner <br />
