KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE, MAINTENANCE, AND FAIR OFFICE STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />TUESDAY 2:00 PM May 8, 2018 <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz, and Vice Chairman Obie O'Brien <br />Absent: Commissioner Paul Jewell excused. <br />Others: Patti Johnson, Tim Egan, Jill Scheffer, Lisa Young, and Stephanie Hartung. Rodeo <br />Board Members, Jerry Jenson, Kelly Schademan, and Dan Morgan <br />Regular Meeting Event Center, Rodeo Punch <br />List <br />Event Center <br />Meeting called to order at 2:00 p.m. Jill requested that we start with the Event Center items since <br />Rodeo Board members were present. Jill had Stephanie Hartung, Deputy Prosecutors office give <br />a legal opinion on Section 13 of the contract with the Rodeo Board for the use of the Rodeo <br />Arena. The Rodeo Board may perform up to $25,000 worth of work that remains on the <br />approved punch list after July 1, and deduct it from their lease payment. <br />Jill presented the Punch list to the BOCC. Commissioner O'Brien moved to approve the punch <br />list as amended, Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion passed 2-0. <br />Jill discussed the Event Center Punch list and items needing repairs. The Amplifier in the <br />Announcer's booth needs replacing. Jill has received a quote for $400.00 for a new amplifier. <br />Commissioner O'Brien moved to approve replacing the amplifier; Commissioner Osiadacz <br />seconded the motion passed 2-0. <br />Jill discussed the need for repairs or replacement of the Bobcat used at the Event Center. The <br />estimate to repair the Bobcat is $1,200 -$2,800. Jill requested to purchase or lease a new Bobcat <br />since the current one has had numerous break downs this year. Commissioner Osaidacz <br />requested that Tim Egan, Assistant Maintenance Director look at the Bobcat and bring his <br />recommendation back before a decision would be made. <br />Regular Meeting <br />Request Approval of <br />Historic Barn Fund <br />Resolution <br />Event Center <br />Discussion was held on the draft resolution for creating a fund to set aside 65% of all <br />sponsorship monies, vendor fees, and other income from KVEC presents events. BOCC was <br />concerned about the percentage in the draft resolution and recommended discussing this further <br />with the Auditors office and Tabled to a later date. <br />2018-05-08 MINUTES <br />
