BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING LOAD RESTRICTIONS ON CERTAIN <br />COUNTY BRIDGES AND PRESCRIBING A MISDEMEANOR FOR <br />VIOLATION THEREOF <br />WHEREAS: Load ratings and engineering investigations have been made on 48 Kittitas <br />County Bridges by KPFF Consulting Engineers; and <br />WHEREAS: Such investigations has revealed that 17 bridges, designated herein, have <br />stresses above what is normally considered safe for certain heavy loads or <br />combination of loads which might be expected to use the bridges if left <br />open to unrestricted use by the traveling public; and <br />WHEREAS: In the interest of safety to the traveling public shoulder closures will be <br />established for two bridges and load restriction shall be enacted on 15 <br />bridges in accordance with RCW 36.75.270; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in <br />the best interest of the public, restrict the use of the following Kittitas <br />County Bridges as hereinafter stated: <br />Bridge No. 07 101 — Liberty Road over Swauk Creek <br />Single Unit Vehicle Trucks <br />4 axle <br />5 axle <br />6 axle <br />7 axle <br />23 tons <br />25 tons <br />26 tons <br />27 tons <br />Bridge No. 60043 — Ross Road over Turbine Canal North <br />Single Unit Vehicle Trucks <br />4 axle <br />5 axle 6 axle <br />7 axle <br />29 ton- 36 ton <br />28 tons 28 tons <br />31 tons <br />Bridge No. 60091 — Ross Road over Turbine Canal South <br />AASHTO <br />Motor Truck <br />Motor Truck and Motor Truck and <br />Semi -- Trailer Trailer <br />18 ton <br />29 ton- 36 ton <br />Single Unit Vehicle Trucks <br />4 axle <br />5 axle 6 axle <br />7 axle <br />17 tons <br />18 tons 19 tons <br />21 tons <br />Bridge No. 79132 — Badger Pocket Road over Parke Creek <br />Single Unit Vehicle Trucks <br />4 axle <br />5 axle 6 axle <br />7 axle <br />32 tons <br />34 tons <br />Emergency Vehicles <br />EV2 EV3 <br />31 tons <br />
