The Kittitas County Flood Control Zone District, in accordance with the National Flood Insurance <br />Program regulation 65.7 (b)(1), hereby gives notice of the Kittitas County and City of Ellensburg's intent <br />to revise the special flood hazard information, generally located between Smithson Road and Dolarway <br />Road. Specifically, the flood hazard information shall be revised along Currier Creek from a point near <br />University Way at N Currier Street in Ellensburg to a point nearthe KRD Highline Canal and Smithson <br />Road intersection just east of Smithson Road, and along Reecer Creek from a point near University Way <br />at N. Currier Street in Ellensburg to a point near the Town Canal and Faust Road intersection. <br />As a result of this revision, floodways shall be established on Currier Creek and Reecer Creek, the one <br />percent (1%) annual chance water -surface elevations shall be established, and the one percent (1%) <br />annual chance floodplain shall widen and narrow within the area of revision. <br />Maps and detailed analysis can be reviewed at Kittitas County Public Works after January 15, 2018 at <br />411 North Ruby, Suite 1, Ellensburg, WA 98926 Interested persons may call Mark Cook, Director of <br />Public Works or Karen Hodges, Certified Floodplain Manager at 509.962.7523, for additional <br />information. <br />
