Mark Cook
From:
Chris Frei <chris@watershedse.com>
Sent:
Monday, November 13, 2017 8:03 AM
To:
Karen Hodges; Mark Cook
Cc:
jeff@watershedse.com
Subject:
RE: Additional Data Request for Currier Creek LOMR 17-10-1541P
Mark and Karen,
Great news! FEMA has completed their review of the Currier Creek LOMR, and is ready to process the updated maps.
Before that can happen, Kittitas County and the City will need to notify affected property owners of the proposed
changes to the floodplain and the establishment of a floodway. You can either publish a public notice, or mail individual
letters to affected property owners. FEMA has letter templates to ensure that the notices meets their criteria.
Please give me a call to discuss.
Thanks,
Chris Frei, PE, CFM
Senior Hydraulic Engineer
WATERSHED Science & Engineering
110 Prefontaine PI So, Suite 508
Seattle WA 98104
office: 206.521.3000
web: www.watershedse.com
From: Gruen, Daniel[mailto:Daniel.Gruen@stantec.com]
Sent: Monday, November 13, 2017 7:41 AM
To: Chris Frei
Cc: mark.cook@co.kittitas.wa.us; Karen Hodges; jeff@watershedse.com; Kulkarni, Sonal; sackettk@ci.ellensburg.wa.us
Subject: RE: Additional Data Request for Currier Creek LOMR 17-10-1541P
Chris and all concerned,
I have finished my review of the submitted additional data and determined that the data is complete and we
can now process the LOMR. Please proceed with the notifications and let me know if you have any questions
regarding the notification requirements. If you are seeking to only publish a public notice and skip the individual
notifications then please report the approximate number of total impacted properties as justification for only
producing a public notice. Language from the individual notification template can be included in the public
notice to create a combined notice (mention that BFEs and floodway have been established, there have been
increases, etc.).
Also since the City of Ellensburg is impacted, the city must provide a statement confirming that property owners
within their jurisdiction have been notified (either by them or another party).
Thank you.
