7. Report any damaged or non-functioning dispensers, fixtures or equipment to proper personnel.
Turning Our Standards Into An Action Plan
Our cleaning standards naturally turn into an action plan to ensure that they are followed and
implemented. Each event is broken into the following three cleaning categories: Pre -event, event and
post -event. Each of these categories has a specific timeline with the amount and type of labor built into
it. Some of the issues we address in our action plan include:
1. Pre -event cleaning
How should the venue look when guests arrive?
How do we keep the building clean during move in?
2. Event cleaning
Are we flexible enough to deal with the unexpected during a live event?
Do we have enough paper products, trash receptacles, and cleaning materials for the entire
event?
3. Post -event cleaning
How long do we have to get the facility in shape for the next event?
Do we need any special equipment to return the facility to normal?
We use established pre- and post- event cleaning checklists as a way of implementing our plan. These
are copied below. Each work order that is created has these checklists attached and the crew uses them
to ensure our action plan is followed.
Kittitas Valley Event Center Cleaning Action Plan 2017 11 1 P a g e
