1/08/2018 MINUTES 2 respective departments and exchanged details of those meetings. On January 3, 2011 the Board determined it would be beneficial to alternate Commissioners that will oversee the different Department Head’s on an annual basis. They determined at the end of 2013 they would review the various committees they participate in and provide beneficial updates to the Board as needed during this time as well. BREAK AT 9:40 FOR DEPARTMENT HEAD MEETING AND THEN RETURN TO OFFICE ADMIN. REVIEW DEPARTMENT HEAD ASSIGNMENTS COMMISSIONERS The Board reviewed the current Department’s they are overseeing and then made proposals for the 2018 Department Head assignments. Commissioner Paul Jewell will oversee the Solid Waste, I.T., Maintenance. Commissioner Laura Osiadacz will oversee the KVEC, WSU Extension, Public Health. Commissioner Obie O’Brien will oversee the CDS, DPW, HR. REVIEW COMMISSIONER COMMITTEE’S COMMISSIONERS Staff provided copies of the current committees that the Commissioners serve on. The Board reviewed them and made changes for 2018, some of which follow Chairmanship or that are no longer something Kittitas County participates in. OTHER BUSINESS Chairman Osiadacz shared an e-mail from HopeSource asking permission to list her as the Jurisdictional Leader for Kittitas County. She explained that this is due to her lead role in addressing homeless efforts for Kittitas County through her role as the Chair of the HAHC. There were no concerns from the Board expressed. Commissioner O’Brien did not participate in the discussion due to his conflict of intrest.
