W A.US <br />Office (509) 962-7506 <br />-_-"Building Partnerships - Building Communities" Fax (509) 962-7682 <br />XI MTAS l -11i' TY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />June 12, 2017 <br />THOSE PRESENT: Laura Osiadacz, Obie Obrien, Paul Jewell (BOCC) Dan Carlson, Mike Flory, Stephanie <br />Mifflin (CDS) Mark Cook, Candie Leader (PW) Andrew Drain (IT) <br />GUESTS PRESENT: <br />Reauest to ai)Drove Professional Services Aereement with SCJAlliance for land use consulting services for <br />Comnrehensive Plan update: <br />Dan stated the Board met with SCJ Alliance the previous week and asked Dan to draft a scope of work to present to the <br />Board for SCJ Alliance to continue updating the Comprehensive Plan. Dan stated the scope of work, contract, and timeline <br />was sent to the Board. See attached. Dan explained the scope of work, contract, and timeline. Dan stated this was provided to <br />legal counsel, and legal approved it. <br />Commissioner Jewell asked for clarification on items that were not part of the scope of work. Dan stated timing and funding <br />were the issues. Commissioner Jewell stated the Critical Area Ordinance update has to be included in the scope of work. <br />Commissioner Jewell requested the Shoreline Management Plan be removed from this scope of work. <br />Board Direction: Amend Scope of Work and bring it back to the Board for approval and signature. <br />SMARTGOV Update: <br />Mike Flory gave a brief overview of the timeline for SMARTGOV go -live at the County. Mike stated CDS and other <br />departments do not want to go -live without the entire package working. Mike stated he hopes to go -live the following week. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz asked if the County was put in a financial burden due to the timeline being extended. Mike stated no, <br />there are no added costs to the County.
