11/13/2017 MINUTES 2 <br />would review the various committees they participate in and provide <br />beneficial updates to the Board as needed during this time as well. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION KXNW VIDEO – JOLLY MTN. COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell presented an estimate for the Board to consider. He <br />stated it was provided by North by North West (NXNM), to produce an <br />educational video on the Jolly Mtn. Fire. He stated that the project <br />would be managed by the Conservation District and they are currently <br />seeking funding assistance. <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell suggested contributing $5,000.00 and felt it was a <br />good project. <br /> <br />Commissioner O’Brien stated he thought the estimate was high, and <br />that there are local businesses that could produce a good quality <br />product for less. He stated that he would consider $2,500.00 of the <br />$10,000.00 needed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz felt it is a good project but asked that <br />Chairman Jewell find out what funding has been obtained so far and <br />that perhaps the County could contribute the difference. <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell was directed to report back when he obtained the <br />information requested. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS- <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:44 a.m. Chairman Jewell announced would recess into Executive <br />Session for 5 minutes to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant <br />for public employment or to review the performance of a public <br />employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140 (4), discussion by a <br />governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of <br />employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur in <br />a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to <br />take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual <br />employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an <br />employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the <br />public. No action was anticipated. <br /> <br />At 9:49 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session.
