WIEHL ROAD HAPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br />Pursuant to the procedures as spelled out in Chapter 36.88.050 RCW Mowing k4patories request that the <br />Kittitas County Commission establish a County Road Improvement District known tenfia ve.ly as the Wiehl <br />Road Improvement District, road district number to be assigned upon final establishment. <br />The proposed road district is located in Township 20 North, Range 1.6 East Section 26 of Kitt•:itas County <br />specifically for improvements associated with Wiehl Road located in or adjacent to the numervous Short Plats off <br />of public road Red Bridge. The road district boundaries would be composed of 66 individual recorded lots or <br />parcels as shown on the mwhed district boundaries map ( IIIBIT 1). <br />The intent of the District is to prepare and asphalt pave approximately 1,300 lineal feet ofgmvel private road <br />with the application of three tw bs (0.3) of one foot of asphalt pavement with associated roadway <br />improvements, and to provide for an improved paved turn -around at Loping Lane (IDGMI T 2) attached. The <br />County would provide armual snowplowing up to the turnaround. A preliminary cost estimate provided by the <br />Kittitas County Public Works Dent for the preparation and improvement construction is $450,000. As <br />proposed the cost would be proportioned on an equal share basis between each of the 66 lots/parcels with a <br />district payback period often 00) years. Estimated annual property tax merit, inchiding interest for the <br />tea (10) year period, is esffinated at approximately $776 per lot per year. <br />Petition signatures represent according to the records of the County Auditor, an aggrepate mount of the <br />majority of the lot owners upon the improvement to be made and of the area within the limits of the a mmient <br />district to be created.
