<br />08/15/2017 MINUTES 5 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />BOARD DISCUSSION/DECISION ITEMS <br /> <br />CLAIM FOR DAMAGES EKLUND – DENIED PROSECUTOR <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to deny the Claim for Damages filed with the <br />Kittitas County Auditor’s Office on July 25, 2017 by Andrea Eklund, as <br />recommended by the Prosecutor. Commissioner O’Brien seconded. Motion <br />carried 3-0. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2017-133 SOLAR FACILITIES CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE CDS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve Resolution No. 2017-133, Creating <br />the Kittitas County Solar Facilities Citizen Advisory Committee, noting <br />the addition of Susie Weis to the list of members. Commissioner O’Brien <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS – NONE <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />At 10:16 a.m. Chairman Jewell announced the Board would recess into an <br />Executive Session with Deputy Prosecutor Christopher Horner and Deputy <br />Prosecutor Neil Caulkins for 10 minutes to discuss with legal counsel <br />representing the agency matters relating to agency enforcement actions, <br />or to discuss with legal counsel representing the agency litigation or <br />potential litigation to which the agency, the governing body, or a <br />member acting in an official capacity is, or is likely to become, a <br />party, when public knowledge regarding the discussion is likely to <br />result in an adverse legal or financial consequence to the agency. <br />Possible action anticipated. <br />At 10:26 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. Staff was <br />directed to prepare a letter of denial and bring it back to the Board of <br />County Commissioners at a later date for their consideration. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Commissioner O’Brien moved to adjourn the meeting at 10:27 a.m. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz seconded.
