<br />08/01/2017 MINUTES 6 <br /> <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE - NONE <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS <br /> <br />LETTERS WARNICK & DENT COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve and authorize Board signature on <br />thank you letters to Senator Judy Warnick and Representative Tom Dent <br />for their attendance at the County Management Team Budget Retreat. <br />Commissioner O’Brien seconded. Commissioner O’Brien seconded. Motion <br />carried 3-0. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS – NONE <br /> <br />BOARD DISCUSSION/DECISION ITEMS <br /> <br />SPECIAL EVENT WESTSTAR OPEN ROPING COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve a Special Event Application <br />authorizing Scott & Jo Repp to hold the WestStar Open Roping Event on <br />August 30, 2017, contingent upon complying with requirements set forth <br />by the Public Health Department including their food service being under <br />a covered area and to provide a flyer to each user of an overnight <br />RV/Trailer relating to the proper disposal of black/grey wastewater (due <br />to concerns expressed of dumping onto County Roads); provide updated <br />insurance requirements as requested by the Prosecutor’s office; <br />Admission Tax requirements from the Auditor; and the Fire Marshal <br />inspection requirements, all to be completed by August 23, 2017 at 5:00 <br />p.m.; and to grant a waiver to Kittitas County Code Chapter 5.20.100 – <br />Penal Bond – Bond of Indemnity. Commissioner O’Brien seconded. Motion <br />carried 3-0. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO AWARD THE DISTRESSED COUNTY SALES & USE TAX FUNDING FOR <br />2018 – ITEM TO BE ON THE NEXT AGENDA. <br /> <br />CONTRACT DEPT. OF COMMERCE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner O’Brien announced he has a conflict of interest relating to <br />family working for HopeSource and would recuse himself from voting and <br />left the meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve Contract Number 17-62210-008 <br />between the State of Washington, Department of Commerce, in the amount <br />of $84,503.00 to provide public services through HopeSource to low-and <br />moderate-income persons in Kittitas County from July 1, 2017 through <br />June 30, 2018. Chairman Jewell seconded. Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS – NONE
