7/10/2017 MINUTES 2 <br />Chairman Jewell presented a breakdown of the DFW/PILT funding by <br />County and noted that Kittitas County received a significant <br />increase. <br /> <br />LETTER 2018 BUDGET INSTRUCTIONS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to authorize Chair Signature on the 2018 <br />Budget Instructions Letter as presented. Chairman Jewell seconded. <br />Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />LETTER TEANAWAY COMMUNITY FOREST COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to authorize Chair signature on a letter <br />of support to the Teanaway Community Forest Advisory Committee <br />regarding motorized users in the recreation planning process of the <br />Teanaway Community Forest. Chairman Jewell seconded. Motion carried <br />2-0. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT EDA – LTAC – REVISED COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell explained that the Ellensburg Downtown Association <br />(EDA) had not signed the 2017 Lodging Tax Services Agreement that <br />the Board approved back in December. He stated that Carolyn <br />Honeycutt from the EDA had contacted him with some concerns and now <br />the Agreement is much more specific as to what the funds can be <br />spent on. He stated that Ms. Honeycutt has already signed the <br />revised Agreement and is before the Board for consideration and <br />signature. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve and authorize Board signature <br />on the revised EDA 2017 Lodging Tax Services Agreement. Chairman <br />Jewell seconded. Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis. This was determined at a Special <br />Meeting with the Board of County Commissioners held on June 18, <br />2009. Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their <br />respective departments and exchanged details of those meetings. On <br />January 3, 2011 the Board determined it would be beneficial to <br />alternate Commissioners that will oversee the different Department <br />Head’s on an annual basis. They determined at the end of 2013 they <br />would review the various committees they participate in and provide <br />beneficial updates to the Board as needed during this time as well. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS – N/A <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:40 a.m.
