Cook RECOMMENDA] ION: Authorize the Board's signature on the lease amendment to Sierra Romeo's Bowers Field Land Lease. BRF.IFING SUMMARY: • Current lease for FBO services is with Sierra Romeo • Ron Mitchell (Sierra Romeo) desires amending the lease to meet real estate transfer requirements resulting from recent sale of assets to Central Washington University • The new LESSEE is VERNOPAL LLC. BACKGROUND: The Board took action allowing lease assignment of the County's main hangar facility pursuant to Resolution 2016-146 (10-8-16). The assignment was done to allow Central Washington University (C WU) to take over our main hangar from the County's Fixed Base Operator— Midstate Aviation. Subsequent to the assignment of the main hangar to CWIJ, Ron Mitchell entered into a land lease (EXHIBIT 1) with Public Works for a new hangar facility on April 1, 2017. It now appears that the company Mr. Mitchell is using to facilitate his real estate exchange with CWU desires having a separate LLC on the April, 1, 2017 lease document. We propose addressing the request to re -assign via a lease amendment (EXHIBIT 2). DISCUSSION: Ron Mitchell and the firm facilitating his real estate exchange desire a new lease agreement back dated to April 1, 2017. That action requires a termination of the existing lease with Sierra Romeo and a public hearing to place the desired interim LLC on the lease.
