2017-06-26 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 3:00 P.M. JUNE 26, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz, Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Peter Dykstra, <br />Appointed - Special Deputy Prosecutor (by phone); Kaitlyn Kelly, Public <br />Health Intern; Holly Myers, EH Supervisor and Neil Caulkins, Deputy <br />Prosecutor. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 3:14 p.m. Chairman Paul Jewell opened a Special Meeting and <br />announced the Board would recess into Executive Session for 15 <br />minutes to consider the selection of a site or the acquisition of <br />real estate by lease or purchase when public knowledge regarding <br />such consideration would cause a likelihood of increased price. <br />Potential action was anticipated. <br /> <br />At 3:29 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No <br />action taken. <br /> <br />At 3:29 p.m. Chairman Jewell announced the Board would recess back <br />into Executive Session for 5 minutes to consider the selection of a <br />site or the acquisition of real estate by lease or purchase when <br />public knowledge regarding such consideration would cause a <br />likelihood of increased price. Potential action was anticipated. <br /> <br />At 3:34 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT TREAT WATER RIGHT PURCHASE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to authorize Chair signature on a Water <br />Right Purchase and Sale Agreement between Kittitas County and James <br />and Hazel Treat. Commissioner O’Brien seconded. Commissioner O’Brien <br />stated that while he understands how important purchasing the water <br />is and moving forward, he does have some concerns about the cost. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz indicated that she agreed but was in support <br />as the funds are being used as they were intended for.
