06/12/2017 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 9:40 A.M. JUNE 12, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz & Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Judy Pless, <br />Budget & Finance Manager; Kaitlyn Reddick, Fiscal Analyst. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD PUBLIC HEALTH <br /> <br />Commissioner Jewell explained that numerous Counties have been asked <br />to help pay for the Association of County Human Services (ACHS) <br />funds that their Treasurer stole. He stated that he felt Kittitas <br />County should not assist in re-paying funds that were stolen. He <br />stated that just because the funds were stolen doesn’t make it <br />Kittitas County’s responsibility to pay it back. He said they have <br />provided our “dues” and the County isn’t receiving any real benefit <br />from ACHS. <br /> <br />Judy Pless, Budget and Finance Manager stated that Comprehensive <br />Mental Health, Merit and Elmview have all indicated their <br />willingness to contribute and want to remain members of ACHS. She <br />stated that moving forward they would just not represent Kittitas <br />County. <br /> <br />Commissioner O’Brien stated from the standpoint of County <br />Commissioner he supports Chairman Jewell’s statements, however from <br />his WSAC President perspective he would like to see the County help <br />out. <br /> <br />DENY ACHS PAYMENT PUBLIC HEALTH <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to deny payment to the ACHS ta assist <br />with the stolen funds. Commissioner O’Brien seconded. Motion carried <br />3-0. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:45 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br />
