5/01/2017 MINUTES 2 <br />Chairman Jewell stated that the project would have to be awarded by <br />the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and noted that the timing was <br />fairly good since the small grants project application process will <br />be available soon. He felt this project would fit the requirements. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz and Chairman Jewell both stressed that they <br />would need to see a contract and financial guarantee protecting the <br />County. Chairman Jewell indicated that signage would need to be done <br />as well. He suggested Commissioner O’Brien work on those items and <br />then bring it to the next Public Works Study Session to discuss <br />since Public Works needs to be involved with the discussion. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis. This was determined at a Special <br />Meeting with the Board of County Commissioners held on June 18, <br />2009. Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their <br />respective departments and exchanged details of those meetings. On <br />January 3, 2011 the Board determined it would be beneficial to <br />alternate Commissioners that will oversee the different Department <br />Head’s on an annual basis.
