MARCH 21, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz and Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Mark Cook, Public <br />Works Director and 4 members of the public. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell called the meeting to order. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION OF NEW COUNTY EMPLOYEES - NONE <br /> <br />PROCLAMATIONS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION NATIONAL COUNTY GOVERNMENT MONTH COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve a Proclamation recognizing April <br />as National County Government Month and to encourage all County <br />officials, employees, schools, and residents to participate in County <br />government celebration activities. Commissioner O’Brien seconded. <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve a Proclamation recognizing April <br />as Child Abuse Prevention Month and call upon all citizens, community <br />agencies, faith groups, medical facilities, elected leaders and <br />businesses in Kittitas County to participate in efforts to support <br />families, thereby preventing child abuse and strengthening the <br />community. Commissioner O’Brien seconded. Chairman Jewell thanked CASA <br />for what they do in the County and for its citizens. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br /> <br />AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS – NONE
