03/07/2017 MINUTES 2 PUBLIC HEARING SOLID WASTE FEE SOLID WASTE At 2:09 p.m. CHAIRMAN JEWELL opened a Public Hearing to consider adding New Product for the Solid Waste Department of Mulch and Establishing a fee. CLINTON VAN DE VENTER, HHW SUPERVISOR reviewed a new fee for the sale of mulch. He recommended adopting the new fee schedule which would become effective on April 1, 2017. THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. RESOLUTION 2017-039 SOLID WASTE FEES SOLID WASTE COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Resolution No. 2017-039, Setting Fees for Kittitas County Solid Waste. COMMISSIONER O’BRIEN seconded. COMMISSIONER O’BRIEN moved to Amend Resolution, changing the title and punctuation as requested by the Board. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ seconded. Motion carried 3-0. Resolution No. 2017-039 approved as amended 3-0. PUBLIC HEARING BOONDOGGLE ROAD PUBLIC WORKS At 2:11 p.m. CHAIRMAN JEWELL opened a Public Hearing to consider vacating portions of Boondoggle Road and East Boondoggle Road Unused Right-of-Way. MARK COOK, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR reviewed a request to vacate portion of Boondoggle Road and East Boondoggle Road, unused right- of-way. He said the process was a little out of sequence and in a perfect world the vacation would be approved prior to the Boundary Line Adjustment (BLA) which has already been approved. He stated the deeds of record would be filed if BOCC takes action and would go into effect immediately. THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. RESOLUTION 2017-040 BOONDOGGLE ROAD PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve Resolution No. 2017-040, Authorizing the Vacation of Potions of Boondoggle Road and East Boondoggle Road Unused Right-of-Way. COMMISSIONER O’BRIEN seconded. The Board noted a couple typographical errors and requested that Staff correct those.
