792 -CH COURTHOUSE UNION <br />chosen by the Union and up to two (2) management members chosen by the <br />Employer. <br />6.3 Labor-management committee recommendations for resolution of matters shall <br />not contradict, add to or otherwise modify the terms and conditions of this <br />agreement between the County and the Union. The purpose of the labor- <br />management committee is to approach matters on a problem -solving basis. If <br />any of the recommendations are intended to potentially modify the labor <br />agreement, then those recommendations shall be forwarded to the area <br />representative for the Union and the County's Labor Attorney. <br />6.4 All parties agree and recognize that the right to schedule Union negotiations <br />and/or Union -Management meetings outside of business hours is retained by <br />management. All parties further recognize the intention of management to <br />schedule these meetings accordingly. Meetings shall be scheduled not later than <br />twenty (20) working days from the date of a request to meet by either party to <br />this agreement. Requests shall be in writing and shall contain the items and <br />topics at issue. The timeline may be waived by mutual agreement of both <br />parties. <br />6.5 When Union negotiations and/or Union -Management meetings are scheduled <br />and conducted during normal work hours, those employees serving in their <br />designated capacity as Union representatives have been and will continue to be <br />compensated at their regular rate of pay and benefits with no requirement to <br />use personal accrued leave. <br />ARTICLE VII —TIME TABLE <br />The parties agree that a target schedule for conferences and negotiations to be carried <br />on by the parties during the final year of the existing Agreement with respect to a <br />successor Agreement is as follows: <br />(a) Submission of Union recommendations to Employer on or about August 15. <br />(b) Submission of Employer's answer by September 10. <br />(c) Negotiations (if required) to begin by September 15. <br />ARTICLE VIII — SUBORDINATE TO STATUTES <br />This Agreement shall in all respects, wherever the same may be applicable herein, be <br />subject and subordinate to the ordinances of the County, regulations within its statutory <br />Page 5 <br />
