COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM REGULAR MEETING TUESDAY 10:00 AM NOVEMBER 24, 2015 Board members present: Gary Berndt, Obie O’Brien, Paul Jewell Others: Lisa Young, Clayton Myers, Doc Hansen REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS 1) Call to Order – 10:03 AM 2) Discuss and Approve PAF(s) – Undersheriff Myers was present to discuss the performance of a public employee/qualifications of a candidate prior to considering a PAF. Executive Session – Performance of a public employee/qualifications of a candidate RCW 42.30.110(g) To evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the public The Board entered Executive Session at 10:04 AM to discuss the performance of a public employee/qualifications of a candidate. Anticipated length: 10 minutes; anticipated action: Consideration of PAF. At 10:14 the Board extended the Executive Session for two minutes. At 10:16 AM the Board exited Executive Session and considered a PAF for M. Williams. The PAF was approved as presented. Interim CDS Director Hansen was present to discuss a PAF presented for A. San Filippo to increase salary to midpoint at her six month anniversary. The PAF was approved as presented. Other PAF’s for consideration were approved as presented (A. Drain; M. Cook). 3) HR Project Updates – HR Director Young updated the Board on Open Enrollment and Union negotiation timelines.
