Cook <br />August 22, 2016 <br />RCO Ringer Loop Acquisition <br />and Design Grant <br />Request to Approve a <br />Resolution to Authorize the <br />Director's Signature on Grant <br />Documents <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Director's signature on Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) <br />Ringer Loop Acquisition and Design Grant documents. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />During the past several months, staff has worked securing project funding <br />through the "Integrated Plan" supporting Ringer Loop Acquisition and Design <br />mitigating flood impact. Funding from the "Integrated Plana has made its way to <br />RCO. Grant documents arrived late last week in the amount of $988,452 with no <br />project sponsor amount required. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />The funding supports the following activities: <br />Acquire fee simple title to one 40 acre parcel and one 20 acre parcel <br />Acquire a conservation easement on a third parcel <br />Obtain an appraisal to acquire a forth 20 acre property. <br />We have completed the appraisal on the first 40 acre parcel and are underway <br />on first 20 acre parcel. <br />FISCAL IMPACTS: <br />We have no project sponsor contribution for the grant amount ($988,452.00) <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />EXHIBIT 1: Resolution <br />EXHIBIT 2: RCO Project Agreement <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />PUBLIC WORKS BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />
