BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 -- <br />INTENT TO FORMULATE ROAD IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. RC-2016RID-N0.1 <br />WHEREAS: The State of Washington authorizes the formulation of Road Improvement Districts <br />pursuant to Revised Code of Washington Chapter 36.88; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board cf County Commissioners has received a petition to <br />formulate a Road Improvement District improving a portion of Biltmore Lane (MP 0.0 <br />to MP 0.27); and <br />WHEREAS: The Public Works Department has validated petition signatories as being owners <br />from Kittitas County Treasurer records; and <br />WHEREAS: The KttUtas County Board of County Commissioners has reviewed the proposed <br />boundary of the district (EXHIBIT 1) and determined the boundary to be sufficiently <br />developed and the petition to be sufficient; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works staff proposes assigning the following number to the proposed Road <br />Improvement District: RC-2016RiD-No.1; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works staff proposes the proportionate amount borne by the property within <br />the proposed district as being $133,000 ($371.3711ot/year for 15 years); and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners must adopt a resolution setting forth the nature <br />and territorial extent of the improvement petitioned for, designating the number of the <br />proposed improvement district and the proportionate amount thereof which will be <br />borne by the property within the proposed district; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the contract <br />documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s). <br />DATED this day August 22, 2016, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Norsvik <br />— Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Obie O'Brien, Chairman <br />Paul Jewell, Vice -Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
