COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />Five minutes; anticipated action: none. At 10:35 AM the <br />Board extended the Executive Session for two minutes. The <br />Board exited Executive Session at 10:37 AM with no action <br />taken. <br /> <br />4) Executive Session – Collective Bargaining <br />RCW 42.30.140 (4)(a) Collective bargaining sessions with employee organizations, including contract <br />negotiations, grievance meetings, and discussions relating to the interpretation or application of a labor <br />agreement; or (b) that portion of a meeting during which the governing body is planning or adopting the <br />strategy or position to be taken by the governing body during the course of any collective bargaining, <br />professional negotiations, or grievance or mediation proceedings, or reviewing the proposals made in the <br />negotiations or proceedings while in progress. <br />The Board entered Executive Session at 10:38 AM to discuss <br />positions related to collective bargaining. Undersheriff <br />Myers was also present. Anticipated length: Two hours; <br />anticipated action: Direction to staff. At 12:38 PM the Board <br />extended the Executive Session for an additional 20 minutes. <br />The Board exited Executive Session at 12:58 PM with direction <br />to staff to proceed as discussed. <br /> <br />5) HR Closure – July 18 Training: HR Director Young informed the <br />Board that the HR Office would be closed on July 18 so staff <br />could attend training provided by the WCIF.
