T + <br />IASCO Flight Training <br />Kittitas County Application for Operating Commercial Services <br />14SCO FLMMr TVAIMIVS <br />All of the current agreements require IFT to provide airline -sponsored students with the necessary <br />training to transition to the airline flying environment upon completion. IFT trains between 30 and 60 <br />students from each airline every year in a program designed to take about 13 months to complete. All <br />contracts are in effect until terminated by one of the parties. In all contracts with the above Chinese <br />airlines, IFT provides the following services: <br />FAA Certified Part 141 ground and flight training <br />o Ab initio courses are also approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) <br />o Students train for, and receive, the following FAA certificates: Private Pilot Airplane <br />Single -Engine land, Instrument Airplane, Commercial Pilot Airplane Multi -Engine Land <br />o The program ends with a turbine transition course that includes ATP -level knowledge <br />and 20 hours of piloting time in a Beechcraft King Air C-90 <br />o Management of student progress is through project supervisors and managers, and an <br />electronic training management system <br />Aviation English training and evaluation <br />All learning materials needed for training <br />student uniforms, housing, transportation, catered meals, administrative and logistical <br />assistance (including fleet maintenance, line service, flight dispatching, etc.) <br />IFT's philosophy is to teach by engaging <br />students. As such, our ground sessions <br />are conducted in active learning <br />classrooms, where there is no back -row <br />seat and there are whiteboards on every <br />wall. Students are required to involve <br />each other and be able to apply the <br />knowledge, not just memorize it. In the <br />flight courses, students are encouraged <br />to ride along an flights, and observe <br />simulator lessons to encourage <br />cooperative learning, and for more <br />exposure to difficult concepts. <br />Photo: Active learning classroom activity. <br />In recent developments, IFT has entered into a training agreement to provide services for SkyMark <br />Airlines of Japan. The first class of 41 students arrived in April, 2014. IFT also began training self - <br />sponsored students from the United States in the fall of in 2013.
