Cook <br />December 28, 2015 <br />Airport Plan Advisory Group <br />Direct Staff Formulate the Airport Plan <br />Advisory Group (PAG) <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Direct staff formulates the airport master plan update advisory group. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Recently, the airport advisory board met discussing staffing for the airport master plan <br />update pian advisory group (PAG). Previously, the Board indicated a desire for a mix of <br />interest representing the advisory board; local neighbors, lessees, and planning interest. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />The advisory board is proposing the following mix of interest staffing the PAG: <br />• Three advisory board members (Jim Libenow, Keith Riexinger and Sundaram <br />Nataraja (pending Board appointment representing CWU). <br />Two airport neighbors (Steve Willard and Teresa Sloan) <br />• Three others (Midstate, DNR and IASCO) <br />Two ex -officio (Kittitas County CDS planning staff, and City of Ellensburg <br />planning staff) <br />n One member of the BOCC (Board of County Commissioners) <br />The Public Works Director is assigned staff to the effort <br />Providing the mix is acceptable to the BOCC, staff will contact Midstate, DNR and <br />IASCO and notice the Board of selected members. <br />Century West is anxious to get underway mid-January 2016. <br />In a separate action, the advisory voted to recommend appointment of Sundaram <br />Nataraja as the Central Washington University board representative. <br />FISCAL IMPACTS: <br />Meeting space rental supporting the effort estimated at $800 for 2016. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Exhibit 1: "Sample Roles and Responsibilities" - PAG <br />Page 7 of 1 <br />PUBLIC WORKS BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />
