DISCUSSION: <br />Investing local funding (up to $85,400) removing the bridge over the Ellensburg <br />Water Company (EWC) saves significant future investment in local program <br />funding. The resulting culvert becomes the ongoing maintenance responsibility <br />of EWC. <br />Allowing the County Engineer change order authority (up to $85,000) creates <br />efficiencies for the KCCD in project administration and allows proper oversight of <br />County funds. It is likely that not all of the change order amount ($85,000) will be <br />necessary completing the project. <br />FISCAL IMPACTS: <br />$85,000 in local program funding currently exists supporting the KCCD <br />construction project.
