BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 - <br />AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON A TASK ORDER SUPPLEMENT FOR <br />SARGENT ENGINEERS SUPPORTING THE REDESIGN OF THE WESTSIDE ROAD <br />HIGHWAY SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works entered into a Task Order assignment with Sargent <br />Engineers for designing safety improvements to Westside Road under <br />Resolution No. 2015-021; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works required a re -design supporting critical permitting timelines; and <br />WHEREAS: The cost of re -designing safety improvements has exceeded authorized <br />spending amounts by $28,483.00; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works desires obligating project funds by the end of the federal fiscal year <br />and project completion is critical to meeting deliverable schedules; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Chair's signature on a Task Order Consultant <br />Supplement Agreement increasing the cost of Westside Road Highway Safety Improvement <br />design by $28,483.00. <br />DATED this 8th day of August, 2016, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />IND Wwk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />.... •�;���' <br />SM <br />' rWAN�� <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />ABSENT <br />Ob' Chairman <br />aul ewell, Vice -Chairman <br />e--Zt 0 <br />ha6ra Osia , Commissioner <br />
