2016-08-01 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 3:30 P.M. AUGUST 1, 2016 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien & Vice-Chairman Paul <br />Jewell. Excused: Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board & Mark Cook, Public <br />Works Director. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 3:35 p.m. Chairman O’Brien opened a Special Meeting and announced <br />the Board would recess into Executive Session for 20 minutes to <br />evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or <br />to review the performance of a public employee. However, subject to <br />RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, <br />and other conditions of employment to be generally applied within <br />the agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a <br />governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting the <br />salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or <br />discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken <br />in a meeting open to the public. No action was anticipated. <br /> <br />At 3:55 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No <br />action taken. <br /> <br />At 3:55 p.m. Chairman O’Brien announced the Board would recess into <br />Executive Session for 5 minutes to evaluate the qualifications of an <br />applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a <br />public employee. Staff <br />was directed to prepare a PAF with an increase of $1,000.00 dollars <br />a month for Mark Cook, Public Works Director, noting his annual <br />evaluation was listed as exceeds expectations. <br /> <br />Meeting was adjourned at 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
