05/31/2016 MINUTES 2 <br />At 9:40 a.m. Chairman O’Brien opened a Special Meeting and announced <br />the Board would recess into an Executive Session for 15 minutes to <br />evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or <br />to review the performance of a public employee. However, subject to <br />RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, <br />and other conditions of employment to be generally applied within <br />the agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a <br />governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting the <br />salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or <br />discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken <br />in a meeting open to the public. No action was anticipated. <br /> <br />At 9:55 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. Staff <br />was directed to prepare PAF’s to reflect a monthly stipend for the <br />following Public Works Staff: Kathy Jurgens ($500.00), Candie Leader <br />($400.00), Ken Bamford ($500.00), Christina Bloxham ($400.00), Wendi <br />Reuble ($400.00), Kelly Bacon ($400.00), and Maria Fischer ($400.00) <br />retroactive to January 1, 2016 through June 30, 2016 with the <br />exception of Mark Cook, Director of Public Works/Interim County <br />Engineer ($1,000.00) per month retro from January 1, 2016 through <br />July 31, 2016. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:55 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz Obie O’Brien, Chairman <br />
