04/19/2016 MINUTES 2 <br />ANGELA SAN FILIPPO, STAFF PLANNER, explained how the Countywide <br />Planning Policies were last amended in 2013 however, they had not <br />been comprehensively updated since 1998. She indicated the Kittitas <br />County Conference of Governments unanimously voted to adopt the <br />amended Kittitas Countywide Planning Policies and recommended for <br />approval by the Board of County Commissioners. NEIL CAULKINS, <br />DEPUTY PROSECUTOR answered questions regarding the proposed <br />revisions. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />MARY MORGAN, ELLENSBURG CITY COUNCIL AND COG MEMBER explained how <br />the COG had met monthly since last July to review and recommend <br />revisions. BRUCE TABB, CITY OF ELLENSBURG provided information on <br />the COG’s view as well. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER JEWELL asked various questions regarding the proposed <br />revisions and the COG’s role. <br /> <br />MS. SAN FILIPPO said she would go back to the COG with the Boards <br />proposed changes and get their input, as they had spent a lot of <br />time on the issue. She said she could bring it back to the <br />Commissioners at a later date. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER JEWELL moved to continue the Public Hearing to June 7, <br />2016, for further deliberation, noting the record was closed. <br />COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ seconded.
