<br />03/01/2016 MINUTES 5 <br /> <br /> <br />conditioned upon receipt of a Release of All Claims and a notarized <br />Claim for Damages, from Jennifer and Michael Backstrom, filed with the <br />Kittitas County Auditor’s office on January 25, 2016. Commissioner <br />Berndt seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />CLAIM FOR DAMAGES PUGET SOUND ENERGY – APPROVED PROSECUTOR <br /> <br />Commissioner Jewell moved to approve payment in the total amount of <br />$3,139.74, for a Claim for Damages filed in the Kittitas County <br />Auditor’s office on January 25, 2016, by Puget Sound Energy conditioned <br />upon a Release of All Claims. Commissioner Berndt seconded. Motion <br />carried 3-0. <br /> <br />CLAIM FOR DAMAGES KELLY – DENIED PROSECUTOR <br /> <br />Commissioner Jewell moved to deny a Claim for Damages filed with the <br />Kittitas County Auditor’s office on February 16, 2016, by Travis Kelly. <br />Commissioner Berndt seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />CLOSED RECORD MEETING WHEATLEY ZONING CUP (CU-15-00003) CDS <br /> <br />Lindsey Ozbolt, Staff Planner, reviewed the Wheatley Zoning Conditional <br />Use Permit (CU-15-00003), an application to operate an enhanced <br />agricultural facility with farm visits that sells local products, food, <br />wine/beer tasting, and educational classes. There is an additional <br />agricultural processing facility being proposed where Northwest products <br />are repackaged into spice blends, baking mixes, make at home dinners, <br />etc. and sold to businesses. The operation is located on a 5 acre <br />parcel zoned Agriculture 20 and has a Land Use Designation of Rural <br />Working. The proposal is located approximately 1250 feet north of the <br />Thorp I-90 interchange at 9201 N. Thorp Hwy, in a portion of Section 11, <br />T18N, R17E, WM, in Kittitas County (Map Number 18-17-11040-0023). The <br />Hearing Examiner recommended approval with Findings of Fact, Conclusions <br />of Law and Conditions of Approval. <br /> <br />The Board asked questions and for clarification of the proposed Wheatley <br />Zoning Conditional Use Permit. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jewell moved to adopt the Hearing Examiners recommended <br />Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law; correcting the scrivener’s errors; <br />modifying Sections 9 and 11 to be consistent with County Code and the <br />closing hours of 10:30 p.m.; and to direct Staff to prepare enabling <br />documents. Commissioner Berndt seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS - NONE <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION – NONE <br />
