Brenda stated this ban <br />would only take effect when the burning index reaches a certain point. Brenda stated notice would be given seven (7) days <br />prior to placement. <br />There was discussion about non-profit firework stands and their financial loss if the ban goes into effect and there was <br />discussion about the language of the policy. <br />Board Direction: Move forward to schedule a public hearing. <br />Plans for the Update of Fire Marshal Fees: <br />Brenda stated there has not been a fee increase since 2012. Brenda listed off fees that would need to increase and presented <br />three (3) options. <br />Commissioner Jewell stated that residential fire sprinkler permits, tank decommissioning permits, and boundary line <br />adjustments should increase to full cost recovery. Commissioner Jewell stated the WUIC fee should increase, but not to the <br />highest cost. <br />Board Direction: Recalculate fees and come back to the Board for another discussion. <br />Discussion of Social Media with Comprehensive Plan Update and Other Efforts: <br />Angela stated that social media could be used as a tool for the Comprehensive Plan Update and outreach. Angela stated this is <br />a way to get a broader audience. Angela stated she has talked to the IT department about Archive Social and how the social <br />media would be saved for Public Disclosure Requests. Angela stated that Public Health, Fire Marshal, and the Treasurer's <br />Offices are on board with purchasing an Archive Social account. <br />There was discussion on which social media sites would be used and who would be responsible for monitoring the accounts. <br />Board Direction: Bring proposals to the Board from different departments. <br />Update of CDS Fees: <br />Doc stated CDS is on track to have new fees in place the beginning of 2016. <br />Mike Flory stated CDS is working with Kelly Bacon in Public Works to update the fees in Eden. Mike explained the model <br />that Peter Moy gave CDS to use to calculate the fees. <br />Board Direction: None. <br />Use of BHC Consultants for Review ofBuildinQ Permits to Maintain Level of Service: <br />Doc stated CDS has a contract in place to use BHC for plan review and that the building department has sent 12 plans over <br />for review to maintain the level of service standard set by the department. <br />Board Direction: None. <br />-X-Z, .
