Bridge Inspections,
Repair List and Annual Bridge Report
Description of Work: KPFF will provide a WSDOT Certified Bridge Inspector to serve as Team
Leader of a total of 156 County bridge inspections, 8 City of Ellensburg bridge inspections, 3 City of Cle
Elum bridge inspections and 1 Town of Kittitas bridge inspection. Of the 156 County bridges, there are
67 bridges that meet the National Bridge Inventory (NBI) definition of a `Bridge", namely the abutment
to abutment distance is greater than 20 feet. The remaining 89 bridges are short span structures that do
not meet the NBI definition of a "Bridge" because the abutment to abutment distance is 20 feet or less.
Regardless of the bridge span length or definition all bridge structures will receive an inspection which is
to be in general conformance with the standard WSDOT Routine Bridge Inspection methods and formats.
A list of all bridges to be inspected by KPFF is included as an attachment.
In addition to the routine inspection performed for all 67 of the County NBI reportable routine
inspections, KPFF will provide the following:
• Inventory inspection of Manastash Bridge (new construction)
Inventory inspection of Number 6 Bridge (new construction)
Bullfrog Road — special steel inspection (LTBIT inspection pushed out to 202 1)
• Westside Road — fracture critical steel inspection
• N Thorp Hwy over Yakima River Truss — fracture critical steel inspection
