KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: January 2$, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve a Resolution to authorize the Chair's Signature on <br />KPFF Task Order No. 017 <br />BACKGROUND: KPFF is Public Works structural engineer as selected <br />pursuant to procurement law in 2017. The general task <br />order agreement terminates on December 31, 2019. KPFF <br />has been performing bridge inspection services for the past <br />several years, supporting bridge inspector Folk. Ms. Folk <br />resigned from PW on January 16, 2019. <br />PW is requesting that KPFF perform all National Bridge <br />Inventory inspections daring 2019. We propose having our <br />Traffic Foreman serve as second on all 2019 inspections. <br />This allows our Traffic Foreman (Kauzlarich) to get critical <br />experience preparing for the 2020 bridge inspection season. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOM IENDATION: Authorize the Chair's signature on KPFF Task Order No. <br />17 supporting 2019 bridge inspections. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
