4/15/2019 MINUTES 2 <br />3 year term effective immediately and expiring on 12/31/2021. <br />Chairman Wright seconded. Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />DECISION LETTER OF SUPPORT COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Chairman Wright stated that he was following up on a request he <br />shared last week that came via e-mail from Gayl Curtiss. He <br />questioned if the Board was interested in putting forward a letter <br />of support to send to Senator Warnick in support of FISH. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith agreed that it would be a good letter to send <br />and Chairman Wright stated that he would draft it for the Board to <br />consider under Admin. Matters on the April 16, 2019 Agenda Session. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis. This was determined at a Special <br />Meeting with the Board of County Commissioners held on June 18, <br />2009. Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their <br />respective departments and exchanged details of those meetings. On <br />January 3, 2011 the Board determined it would be beneficial to <br />alternate Commissioners that will oversee the different Department <br />Head’s on an annual basis. They determined at the end of 2013 they <br />would review the various committees they participate in and provide <br />beneficial updates to the Board as needed during this time as well. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS- <br /> <br />Staff briefed the Board on a proposal for 4-10’s and/or an Alternate <br />work week (seasonal). Commissioner Wachsmith and Chairman Wright <br />were in support of the proposal and directed Staff to bring it back <br />next Monday for full Board consideration. <br /> <br />There was a brief discussion on separating the Solid <br />Waste/Fair/Maintenance Study Sessions. <br /> <br />Chairman Wright stated that he would prepare a letter of support to <br />Cowlitz County for the Board to consider during their Agenda Session <br />on April 16, 2019. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 10:00 a.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz Cory Wright, Chairman
