Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />RATIFY LETTER-VALERIE SMITH COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to ratify Commissioner Osiadacz’s <br />signature on a letter to Valerie Smith, Growth Management Services <br />Re: Smart Choices Nomination – Yakima River Public Access Plan. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />PROJECT ASPHALT – KVEC COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Project Manager asked the Board <br />to clarify who was to be managing and or in charge of the project <br />for the Event Center Asphalt. She explained that she was recently <br />brought in on it and wanted to know the Boards expectation. The <br />Board stated that the funding for the paving Armory/Event Center has <br />been tabled until they can clarify funding amounts however the <br />repair/maintenance on the backside of Frontier Village that funding <br />is clear and the work can begin. The Board stated that Tim Egan <br />should be handling the project primarily as it’s maintenance and <br />repairs on an existing facility. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined for the week of May 6, 2019 they would be <br />sharing the TREX Burns the KCCD 2019 Drought Workshop notice and a <br />Certificate of Appreciation to Dan Munguia for his 24 years of <br />service to Kittitas County. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis. This was determined at a Special <br />Meeting with the Board of County Commissioners held on June 18, <br />2009. Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their <br />respective departments and exchanged details of those meetings. On <br />January 3, 2011 the Board determined it would be beneficial to <br />alternate Commissioners that will oversee the different Department <br />Head’s on an annual basis. They determined at the end of 2013 they <br />would review the various committees they participate in and provide <br />beneficial updates to the Board as needed during this time as well. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS-N/A <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:40 a.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
