COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - <br />AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO AUTHORIZE A NOTICE <br />OF CALL FOR BIDS FOR THE BIG BOULDER CREEK BRIDGE REPLACEMENT <br />PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: The current bridge on Fish Lake Road at Big Boulder Creek is load restricted <br />owing to a failing foundation; and <br />WHEREAS: Replacement of the bridge at Big Boulder Creek is an adopted project on Public <br />Works 2019 annual construction program; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has prepared a plans, specification and engineering package for <br />replacing the failed bridge at Big Boulder Creek for contractor review and bid <br />submittal; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has prepared an Invitation to Bid and proposes advertising the <br />project in the Daily Journal of Commerce and the local paper of record for three <br />consecutive weeks (05/16, 05/23 and 5/30); <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby issue an Invitation to Bid supporting Big Boulder Creek <br />Bridge Replacement and directs that the project be advertised for three consecutive weeks <br />(05/16, 05/23 and 05/30/2019) in the Daily Journal of Commerce and in the local paper of <br />record. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Public Works is directed to open bids on Thursday, June <br />6, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the office of the Department of Public Works, 411 North Ruby Street, <br />Suite 1, Ellensburg, Washington, to be publicly read aloud after 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 6, <br />2019, in the Department of Public Works, Ellensburg, Washington. <br />DATED this 13th day of May, 2019, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />�) <br />_ Atffff_ c0 <br />'irkird,t Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchhol. <br />ti <br />`�-L k <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />
