BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF KITTITAS STATE OF WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO AUTHORIZE A NOTICE OF CALL FOR BIDS FOR THE TEANAWAY ROAD HYDRAULIC IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 1: STORY CREEK CULVERT REPLACEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS: Public Works has a Federal Highway Administration Federal Lands Access Program grant to improve the Teanaway Road crossing at Story Creek; and WHEREAS: The Story Creek improvement project is a part of the 2019 adopted Public Works annual construction program; and WHEREAS: Public Works has prepared a plans, specification and engineering package supporting Story Creek Improvements for contractor review and bid submittal; and WHEREAS: Public Works has prepared an Invitation to Bid and proposes advertising the project in the Daily Journal of Commerce and the local paper of record for three consecutive weeks (05/16, 05/23 and 5130); NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest of the public, does hereby issue an Invitation to Bid supporting Story Creek Improvements and directs that the project be advertised for three consecutive weeks (05116, 05123 and 05/30/2019) in the Daily Journal of Commerce and in the local paper of record. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Public Works is directed to open bids on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the office of the Department of Public Works, 411 North Ruby Street, Suite 1, Ellensburg, Washington, to be publicly read aloud after 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 6, 2019, in the Department of Public Works, Ellensburg, Washington.
